Captain America, sometimes referred to as Cap, is a popular character that originated in Marvel Comics. He has never had his own show, but he was a featured hero in The Marvel Superheroes and guest-starred in other Marvel cartoons. He also appeared in two made-for-TV movies.

Captain America was loosely adapted to a pair of TV movies that aired on CBS in 1979, starring Reb Brown in the title role. The second movie was aired in two parts on two consecutive nights.
