Plot Overview
With the Great Red Dragon compelling Dolarhyde to take Rita, Hannibal offers him Will's family. Alana and Jack discover Hannibal's contact with Dolarhyde and make him a deal.

- Learning he's in contact with Dolarhyde, the FBI monitor Hannibal's phone conversation to get a trace. Hannibal then alerts Dolarhyde, leading to his room being stripped of his luxuries.

- Hannibal quotes Faust, a tragic play written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe when he says "Two souls, alas, are dwelling in my breast, and one is striving to forsake its brother."
- When Hannibal asks Will how he thinks Dolarhyde has contacted him, he sarcastically suggests personal ads and toilet paper. These means are exactly how the two communicated to each other in the novel.
