Hannibal — Season Three

Contorno is the fifth episode of the third season of Hannibal, and the thirty-first episode overall.

Plot Overview

The hunt for Hannibal begins. Will travels via train with Chiyoh to Florence, as Alanna and Mason use Hannibal's fine tastes to track his whereabouts. Pazzi tries to get in close to find out if Hannibal is the man he's looking for, but his greed may get the better of him.

• Pazzi meets a fate similar to his ancestor and is hung outside of the Palazzo Capponi where his bowels fall out unto the floor.

Goofs

• Jack puts Hannibal's his left arm in the breaking wheel, but after the fight, Hannibal is cradling his right arm.

Quotes

• Mason: He likes music, he likes wine, he likes food, and he likes you. How do you taste, Dr Bloom? Sweet, I bet. I'm sure you got a taste of him, too. Spitters are quitters and you don't strike me as a quitter.

• Hannibal: It's hard to see, but here's where the archbishop bit him. Eyes wild as he choked, the archbishop locked his teeth in Pazzi's flesh. On a related subject, I must confess, I've been giving very serious thought to doing the same.

• Alana: Inspector Pazzi. My name is Alana Bloom. You don't know me, but I know your benefactor.

Hannibal: (answering Pazzi's phone) Hello, Alana. I'm afraid the inspector is otherwise occupied.

Alana: Is he dead?

Hannibal: There is nothing I would love more than to be able to chat with you, Alana, but you caught me at a rather awkward moment. Nice to hear your voice. (hangs up)

• Hannibal: So, Commendatore, which do you think? Hmm? Bowels in or bowels out?

• Hannibal: How will you feel when I'm gone?

Jack: Alive.
