Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire is the seventeenth feature in the series of direct-to-video animated movies starring Scooby-Doo. It was released on home video March 13, 2012 and had an advance window through Video On Demand on December 22, 2011. It premiered on Cartoon Network March 3, 2012.
The gang ventures to the Deep South for a vampire festival which is disrupted by a vampire that wants to take Daphne captive for the purpose of making her his bride. Suspects include a vampire hunter, an evangelist bucking for public office, the festival organizers and a member of a band of actors for a stage show.
Meanwhile, Shaggy goes into seclusion after thinking he's been bitten by a vampire (he actually incurred a splinter in his neck from an errant stake).
The feature is an unusual entry in that the gang and the supporting characters break out singing sporadically, essentially making this a musical.
