Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster is a live-action comedy (with a CGI Scooby) airing on Cartoon Network.

Scooby and the gang get summer jobs at the country club of Daphne's uncle, which suddenly becomes terrorized by a lake monster--a huge, fanged froglike creature. In sussing out clues, Velma finds strange glowing stones. As the investigation goes on, Velma begins acting strangely and is nowhere to be found as the spectre of an old witch--Wanda Grubwort--appears and creates lake monsters out of ordinary frogs to be her servants. When the gang finally confronts the witch, they discover that she has possessed Velma's body as a host and her sceptre wields all her power--the spirit of her ancestors--with the glowing stones found earlier.

Tying into the story are attempted romances, one between Fred and Daphne, the other between Shaggy and Velma (Shaggy shown having fallen in love with her, and Velma doesn't warm up quickly to it).
