Scooby Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost is the thirtieth feature in the long running series of DVD animated movies of Scooby-Doo. It is basically a continuation and resolution of the 1985 TV series The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo.
In this feature, Vincent Van Ghoul and his friend Mortifer have captured the final of thirteen ghosts from that series and locks it in the Chest of Demons. At that point it goes into the set-up of the TV series when Shaggy and Scooby let the ghosts escape from the chest. The first twelve were subsequently caught back then but the thirteenth is still at large. Van Ghoul contacts the gang and asks for their help in retrieving the thirteenth ghost.
Flim Flam McScam, the ten-year-old scam artist from 13 Ghosts reunites with Shaggy, Scooby and Daphne. Through this story, it's Daphne who leads the team as she, Shaggy and Scooby had dealt with the demons prior. Velma continues her skepticism of the supernatural but eventually tempers it by rationalizing that there are both supernatural examples and realistic examples for things happening.
