Space Ghost is a cartoon character created by Alex Toth in 1966. He was first created as a kind of space cop superhero who protected the galaxy with his young wards (kind of like a superpowered Batman in space). Over the years, he has been part of a wide variety of animated programs including a science-fiction action drama, an avantgarde talk show and a variety show like The Banana Splits.
