Biography
Taylor Schilling was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Patricia (née Miller), an MIT administrator, and Robert J. Schilling, a former prosector. She grew up in West Roxbury and Wayland, splitting time between her parents, who were then divorced. Since she was a fan of ER during her youth, she started acting at a very young age. She had became active in her middle school's theater program when she appeared in the school's stage production of Fiddler on the Roof.
After graduating from Wayland High School in 2002, she attended Fordham University's campus at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where she had continued to take part in stage productions before earning her Bachelor of Arts in 2006.
