Terry Louise Fisher is an L.A. Lawyer, American television producer and writer.

Biography

Fisher was born in Chicago and she attended at UCLA School in 1968. She later worked for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office and then move from into entertainment law. She is a lawyer and she wrote two novels. The first book was A Class Act, published in 1976. The second book Good Behavior was published in 1979. After 10 years in the law field, Fisher decided to pursue her true passion of writing a full-time and quitting the practice of law.

Fisher career began when she went to work as a writer and producer for CBS police procedural Cagney & Lacey in 1982. Between 1983-1987, she have wrote the other series and television films. In 1985, Fisher left Cagney & Lacey, but she returned many years later for the series' reunion films Cagney & Lacey: The Return in 1994, and Cagney & Lacey: Together Again in 1995, both of which she co-wrote.

Fisher then moved to 20th Century Fox where she co-created and produced with Bochco L.A. Law, which ran on NBC from 1986-1994. The hour-long legal drama, she served a a supervising producer and writer for many episodes in the early series. She won her Primetime Emmy Awards and shared with Bochco in 1987 and 1988.

In 1987, Fisher co-created the ABC half-hour dramedy Hooperman, starring John Ritter, which ended up getting canceled after two seasons.

In 1992, Fisher even wrote the short-lived summer series 2000 Malibu Road produced by Aaron Spelling.
