Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are racing to the North Pole, Jeremy and James are in a specially adapted pick-up truck, while Richard is on a sled pulled by a team of huskies.

Trivia

• North Pole: The presenters claim they are racing to the North Pole. However, they are in fact racing to the 1996 location of the North Magnetic Pole and not the geographic North Pole. This location is roughly 800 miles from the geographic North Pole.
• Air Wreck: The aircraft wreckage discovered is a Douglas C-47 Skytrain, delivered to the United States Air Force on 14 June 1944. The C-47 crashed on October 9, 1949. Among the factors contributing to the crash, the C-47's wings were not de-iced and the aircraft was overloaded. All passengers and crew escaped with no serious injuries. More Information
