Plot Overview
Syaoran and Ryuoh collide, and eject from their craft — saving Ryuoh, but knocking them both out of the race. Sakura swoops down to check on them, then continues with the race. Kurogane is in the lead as the racers approach randomly spouting geysers. Sakura can sense when they're coming, so she manages to avoid most of them. But just as she is about to collide with one that takes her by surprise, Kurogane knocks her out of the way, and he crashes. He tells her to keep going.
Back in the canyon, Syaoran uses his scavenged radar to detect the signal of the saboteur. When a medical blimp comes to pick Syaoran and Ryuoh up, they ask to be taken to the source of the transmission instead. Sakura and the other racers enter an area riddled with lasers, which take out Chun Hyang.
Kurogane and Fai confront Tomoyo, and find out that she was the one who sabotaged the preliminary heats, because she wanted Sakura to win. She was told the feather belonged to Sakura, but unfortunately this was after the information about the powerful feather went public. They decided to hold a race to be fair to everyone who wanted it, but manipulate the outcome so it ended up with Sakura. However, they are not responsible for anything occurring during the finals.
Syaoran and Ryuoh head to Piffle Princess headquarters and find the president in the control room targeting Sakura with the lasers. The two boys work together to shut the president down, and the room is raided by Piffle Princess personnel, including Akira and Suoh. The race continues, and Sakura sails through the goal to victory.
When the feather is presented to Sakura, the ceremony is attacked and several people are shot, including Ryuoh. The culprit turns out to be Kyle Rondart — the exact same one from Jade Country. He tries to pull the feather to himself, but Mokona sucks it back and they restore it to Sakura. Dr. Rondart disappears.
Tomoyo reveals how she found out about the true origin of the feather — Princess Tomoyo told her in a dream. Kurogane is slightly upset by the mention of the princess, and leaves the room. Tomoyo Daidouji goes out to talk to him, and he is still slightly upset at the princess, but also gives Ms. Daidouji a message for the next time the princess appears in her dreams: "I'm coming home."
The next day Mokona transports the group out of Piffle World, though Tomoyo vows her company will find some way to meet them again. Meanwhile, Fei Wang Reed is still watching. He sees that direct intervention will not work, so he decides to send them to a spirit world...
