Terry O'Quinn is an American actor. He played the role of John Locke on ABC's Lost.

Biography
Terry O'Quinn was born on July 15, 1952 in Newberry, Michigan. He attended Central Michigan University and the University of Iowa. He married his wife, Lori, in 1979. They lived for most of their marriage in Finksburg, Maryland, but after Lost began airing the couple decided to follow suit with O'Quinn's co-stars and move to Hawaii. O'Quinn and his wife have two grown sons, Hunter and Oliver.
O'Quinn began acting in the 1970s. He has appeared in such films as Young Guns, The Rocketeer, and Tombstone. His television roles include guest appearances on Earth 2, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and JAG. Befriending Chris Carter, producer of The X-Files, O'Quinn was a guest star in two episodes and had a supporting role in The X-Files feature film. Carter later cast O'Quinn in the TV series Millennium and Harsh Realm. After appearing on Alias, J.J. Abrams wanted to cast him for his new series Lost without any audition.
