Plot Overview

On their anniversary, Adama is reminded of his first wife, Carolanne, who he seemingly lets haunt him throughout the day.

Meanwhile, Tyrol and Cally, who have been having their own marital problems, become trapped in an airlock with oxygen leaking into space.

Notes

  • When Lee notes the numbers being floated around since the last contact with the Cylons, he begins with 47.

Arc Advancement

Happenings

  • It's been 49 days without any contact with the Cylons.

Characters

  • Adama recollects his ex-wife Carolanne on their anniversary. In his internal conversation with her, she criticises him.
  • In preparation for Baltar's trial, Roslin tells Adama she needs a chairman to head a committee to deal with the legal framework. She suggests Lee, due to his grandfather. When Lee was a boy, he was fascinated by Joseph's legal books and admits he once considered becoming a lawyer. However, he doesn't get much time as CAG. Adama later delivers his father's legal books to Lee.
  • Lee admits to his father that after he left, his mother got worse.
  • Tyrol and Cally's problems stem from having to keep Nicky in daycare while they continue to work. Tyrol admits that he was being selfish and wanted it to be like it was before, not thinking about Nicky.
  • Tyrol and Cally are forced to be in space as part of their rescue. This puts this both in sickbay with Cally appearing to suffer worse as she's in a hyperbaric chamber.
  • Adama gets personal when he asks Roslin about the cabin she considered building on New Caprica. She says she would have if the circumstances permitted.

Quotes

  • Helo: (noticing Hotdog rubbing near his groin area) What's the matter with you?
Hotdog: Sorry. I've got the weirdest rash.
Helo: Really. Hope she was worth it, buddy.
(Helo and Athena move one seat away)
  • Adama: He's like both of us. Proud, stubborn, and angry. But he's coming into his own, especially in the last few months.
Carolanne: Don't tell me. Tell him.
Adama: He knows.
Carolanne: Knows what? That the Admiral's going to give him a good performance review? Or that his father loves him? Don't tell me the Admiral's facade extends to Lee, too.
  • Lee: (referring to a box) So what's this?
Dualla: Oh, it was here when I got it. It's from your father.
Lee: Is it ticking?
