Season Two of Bleach premiered on March 1, 2005 and is titled "Soul Society: The Sneak Entry." It is the first part of the "Soul Society" story arc. Although the series is run without breaks like Western television seasons, episodes are grouped into storylines and considered "seasons" in the right.
"Soul Society: The Sneak Entry," picks up the rescue mission in the soul society. Rukia is marked for death for transferring her powers to Ichigo and a conspiracy among the soul society's inner circle is afoot. While the first several episodes in the "sneak entry" plot were about gaining access to the Seireitei, the second half is about Ichigo and the others attempting to reconnect and find Rukia's location.
The second season was broadcast on Adult Swim in America starting on March 10, 2007 and ended on July 15, 2007.
